The company provides AI inference and infrastructure using European infrastructure, open models, and a focus on data sovereignty, GDPR alignment, fossil-free electricity, circular hardware, and CO₂e tracking.

Into Kustannus Oy

Bold and responsible publishing

+

Into Kustannus is a Finnish publishing house founded in 2007. It publishes fiction and non-fiction and positions itself around bold and responsible publishing, with a catalogue covering fiction and non-fiction, society, culture, environment, politics, science, and current affairs alike.

Our investment rationale is that an independent and pluralistic publishing ecosystem is part of the intellectual infrastructure of an open society.

Mö Foods Oy

Oat-based alternatives to dairy cheese

+

Description

Mö Foods is a Finnish company developing oat-based alternatives to dairy cheese. It operates within the alternative protein sector, focusing on plant-based dairy innovation and product manufacturing.

Our rationale for investing

Mö Foods supports the transition toward a lower-emission food system by developing plant-based alternatives to dairy cheese. Our rationale is based on the significant climate potential of substituting conventional dairy cheese with plant-based alternatives; in our estimate, this shift could save up to 0.26 gigatonnes CO₂e per year, equivalent to almost 0.5% of global annual greenhouse gas emissions.

Unlimited Foods Oy

Plant-protein products for food service operators and retail partners

+

Description

Unlimited Foods is a Finnish plant-based food company developing plant-protein products for food service operators and private-label retail partners. The company’s products are designed as accessible alternatives to meat, with a focus on taste, usability, protein content, and affordability.

Our rationale for investing

Unlimited Foods supports the transition toward more sustainable protein consumption by making plant-based meat alternatives easier to use in everyday food environments and through hybrid solutions. We see the company as part of a broader shift where lower-emission food choices need to become practical, tasty, and commercially scalable rather than niche products.

Your Devocean AB

Connecting water restoration projects with verifiable impact data

+

Description

Your Devocean is a Swedish company building a platform that connects ocean and freshwater restoration projects with companies seeking verifiable, ESG-aligned impact data. Its model focuses on translating frontline ocean action into auditable sustainability metrics and routing funding toward projects on the water.

Our rationale for investing

Your Devocean addresses a key bottleneck in ocean and freshwater restoration: many regeneration projects need capital, while companies and funders need credible, measurable, and reportable impact data. Our rationale is to support infrastructure that can make marine regeneration more transparent, investable, and scalable.

Greencode Ventures

A pan-European Article 9 venture capital investor for green transition

+

Description

Greencode Ventures is a pan-European Article 9 venture capital investor focused on accelerating the green transition through digital-first, capital-light technologies. The fund invests in areas including green energy, green mobility, green industries, and green cities, with a stated focus on software solutions that reduce emissions, save resources, and add value.

Our rationale for investing

Greencode Ventures fits our thesis that decarbonization is not only about large physical assets, but also about the software, data, and digital systems that make energy, mobility, industry, and cities more efficient. The investment gives us diversified exposure to companies that may accelerate emissions reductions across multiple sectors.

IPR.VC

VC investment firm focused on film and tv IP

+

Description

IPR.VC is a Helsinki- and London-based VC investment firm focused on film and TV intellectual property, media, and entertainment assets. IPR.VC Fund III is an active fund investing in premium content and IP assets; IPR.VC describes the strategy as institutional capital for high-impact entertainment, with over $200 million raised across three funds.

Our rationale for investing

IPR.VC is different from our climate and sustainability-oriented investments: our investment rationale is cultural and structural. The fund supports creative industries, storytelling, and the financing of high-quality film and television production including documentaries, while also offering portfolio diversification through an asset class with different drivers than traditional equities or venture capital.

Norrsken Evolve

A venture capital fund for a resilient and sustainable future

+

Description

Norrsken Evolve is a venture capital fund, in-person sprint, and founder community for European pre-seed and early-seed companies building solutions for a more resilient and sustainable future. The fund focuses on early-stage impact technology and is part of the broader Norrsken ecosystem.

Our rationale for investing

Norrsken Evolve gives Adventurous Ideas exposure to very early-stage impact companies across Europe, where specialist networks and founder support matter. The rationale is not only financial diversification, but ecosystem leverage: one fund commitment can support a pipeline of founders working on sustainability, resilience, health, deeptech, and enabling infrastructure.

Planet A Ventures

An European Article 9 green‑tech venture capital fund

+

Description

Planet A is a European Article 9 green‑tech venture capital fund focused on science-based climate solutions and backing early-stage companies with measurable positive environmental impact. The fund targets scalable technologies in climate mitigation, resource efficiency, waste reduction, and biodiversity protection.

Our rationale for investing

Planet A fits Adventurous Ideas’ impact investment approach because it combines venture capital scalability with rigorous, science-based impact assessment. Its in-house science team uses consequential life cycle assessments and has veto power over investments that do not demonstrate sufficient positive environmental impact. We also value Planet A’s “competitive by design” philosophy: the fund seeks companies whose climate and nature solutions can scale through strong commercial fundamentals, not only through subsidies or green premiums.

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners

A global infrastructure investment manager focused on energy infrastructure

+

Description

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners is a global infrastructure investment manager focused on energy infrastructure, including renewable energy and energy-transition assets. CIP describes itself as the world’s largest dedicated fund manager within greenfield energy investments and manages funds investing in offshore and onshore wind, storage, solar PV, transmission and distribution, advanced bioenergy, and Power-to-X. Several CIP funds are classified as SFDR Article 9, while others fall under Article 8.

Our rationale for investing

Our rationale is that decarbonization requires not only innovation-stage capital, but also substantial infrastructure capital for renewable generation, grid-related assets, storage, and next-generation energy systems.

Aktia Prosperity

A global Article 9 listed equity fund focused on growth companies with a positive impact

+

Description

Aktia Prosperity is a global Article 9 listed equity fund investing in quality growth companies that have a positive impact on the environment and society. The fund follows a systematic investment process in which every portfolio company must be connected to one of seven sustainability themes rooted in long-term structural trends that extend beyond normal economic cycles. The allocation between themes is not predetermined; portfolio construction is driven by company-level analysis and investment conviction. Aktia Prosperity is not limited to institutional and professional investors; it is also accessible to individual investors, including through Aktia’s regular fund-saving channels.

Our rationale for investing

Aktia Prosperity provides exposure to liquid public equities while maintaining a strong alignment with Adventurous Ideas’ impact philosophy. The fund is built around positive sustainability themes linked to long-term megatrends, combined with a disciplined quality growth investment approach. Its exclusion criteria are aligned with our value base, including the exclusion of activities related to animal exploitation (such as animal testing, animal-derived products, and intensive animal agriculture), as well as oil and gas, mining and extraction, and forestry-related industries.

Green Bond Portfolio

Green bonds through direct holdings in a tailored SEB-managed portfolio

+

Description

Adventurous Ideas invests in green bonds through direct holdings in a tailored SEB-managed portfolio. The portfolio finances clearly defined environmental projects aligned with our impact mandate.

Our rationale for investing

Our green bond portfolio brings impact investing into fixed income while maintaining our core values. We have chosen direct holdings instead of green bond funds because fund structures may include forestry-related and animal-based industries that fall outside our investment criteria. Direct ownership gives us greater control over what we finance, enabling us to back specific use-of-proceeds while applying our own exclusions and impact principles more precisely.
